Bake it Girl

Picture
Bake it Girl was founded by 2 Best Friends with a love of baking and both with an incredible sweet tooth. Our chocolate is made from premium whole milk; hand picked roasted cacao beans for flavoring much like coffee beans. Cocoa butter and fine organic confectionary sugars. It is then tempered to give it a finished glossy appearance. All items are handmade and crafted fresh after each order is placed. To ensure the best quality upon delivery. We even accommodate Gluten free and Vegan upon special request.

The common goal is to sweeten the world with quality chocolates. And to also spread awareness about an illness that is very real and dear to our hearts. That being said Bake it Girl launched in 2012 with a vigorish head start. Almost superseding its expectations in the very beginning. And is now afloat and doing well as intended.

10% of all sales go toward the National Breast Cancer Foundation as we continue to hope for a cure. With all the info out there today we have come to understand more about the biology of breast cancer. As well as the importance of self examination, regular mammograms, and early detection.

One Stitch Designs

Hi, I'm Stephanie, and I'd say I'm a self-proclaimed "eccentric." I've been crocheting since I was 6 years old, playing with beads of all kinds since I was 15, and knitting since my 21st birthday.

I love to make a little bit of everything, and have several other hobbies besides those shown at One Stitch Designs. I totally overdo it though, sometimes to my physical discomfort (my poor wrists!). I'm an artist, proud mother, geek, and a gamer. I enjoy every stitch of interest, hope you enjoy them too!

Chocolate Twist

Picture
Chocolate Twist is the creation of Kate Nolan, Queen of the Twist, in 2009. As a child, Kate was captivated by her grandmothers’ ability to cook and bake seemingly effortlessly. Nana Coffey was famous for her homemade bread, cookies and biscuits. Nonni Bruno could put up a pot of pasta gravy faster than anyone. All the while, Kate’s beloved grandmothers would carry on conversation, laugh with family, enjoy a little wine and never break a sweat. Kate was hooked. And hungry.

Kate received her Baking and Pastry Certificate at Kendall College, Chicago. After several years of work in the food and non-profit sectors, Kate decided in 2009 to listen to her heart. Named for Kate’s favorite ingredient and a nod to the meandering streets of her hometown, Riverside, Illinois, Chocolate Twist was born.

Chocolate Twist has a dedicated following. Twistheads, as they’re known, know their confections and don’t settle for pretentious or overbearing candy. They love their caramels especially and don’t hesitate to proclaim their unwavering affection. One Twisthead put it best when she shamelessly said “they are the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth.” ‘Nuff said.

Kate’s culinary philosophy is simple. Make tasty food. Make it approachable. Make it fun. And at the end of the day - after we’ve made tasty, approachable and fun food--do something good with it. We are proud to partner with our favorite charities to foster inclusiveness, diversity and outreach.

Authentic Common Scents

Picture
Authentic Common Scents started as a purely independent endeavor to boot out conventional, chemical ridden products from my home. I started with organic hand made soap, and now have snowballed into several products such as facial moisturizers, lip balms, body butter, sugar scrubs, herbal salves, and more! Natural healing and organic products are of utmost importance to me. Once I had noticed the benefits these products were producing for me, I had to share it with others! Soon after, I started my Etsy shop, and am now featuring my products in boutique sales and consignment shops across the Minnesota metro.

Once I got a grasp on health products in the physical realm, I decided to take a step into a more sensory realm - Natural Soy Candles. Smell is the sense closest linked to memory, and what better way to create nostalgia than with a hand poured/hand crafted candle? I cannot describe how much enjoyment is felt providing customers with a childhood scent such as grandpa's cologne or mom's homemade cherry cobbler. The possibilities are endless, and I don't plan on slowing down anytime soon!

C Squared Coffee

Picture
C Squared Coffee evolved out of a love for coffee. Plain and simple; I love coffee and I wanted to share that love with others! I wanted to know all the facets of what makes up a good cup of joe. What types of beans are used? What is the best roast for each bean? How does the roast affect the taste of each bean? Questions questions!

I feel that education about what makes up a good cup of coffee is very important and I strive to apply that knowledge in every batch that I roast. It just came naturally to me as I am a full-time professional Mathematics teacher and consultant. I have been told that I am very industrious and a real "go-getter" that always strives for perfection. I hope that you will taste that perfection in every batch that I roast. They truly are "small batches with big flavor"!

Rainy Days Kitchen biscotti

Picture
The story of Rainy Days Kitchen biscotti is at heart a love story: love of truly good food, coffee, and wine.

Years ago we traveled the country with our son, a competitive swimmer. Being lovers of biscotti, we searched it out in each city. Invariably, it was hard and dry, lacked in character, and was disappointing. We began thinking about how to make biscotti that would do justice to its long tradition while bursting with flavor and quality ingredients. When the rainy days returned to Bellingham Washington, we baked and baked until we came up with Rainy Days Kitchen biscotti. It's Not Your Usual Biscotti.

By following time-tested methods of artisan bakers, we bake biscotti with delightful texture and sumptuousness, combining ingredients to develop unique and exciting flavor nuances.  Free of additives, preservatives and trans-fats, our all-natural biscotti are instead brimming with nuts and fruits, cocoa and spices, and organic and locally sourced ingredients.

Little Blooms Handmade

Picture
I am a "twenty something" stay at home mom to three wonderful kids! Two girls and a boy! I love coffee, gardening, reading, spontaneous home improvement, everything anthropologie and baby Snickers bars from the freezer. I was a hairstylist for 10 years and when my oldest daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes a year ago we did everything we could so I could stay home.

About 6 months after I stopped working...I could feel all of my creativity start to build up inside of me and it was screaming to get out (apparently I got it out of my system doing hair...)! Since I could never really find hair accessories for my girls that I liked (or that stayed in their hair!) ...I decided to start making cute hair accessories for my girls. I fell in love with doing it! Once I saw how much I loved making things, I started to make hair accessories and cabochon flower jewelry for myself. Now I hope to share my creations with everyone to bring a little whimsy to their day.

Kitty Lee Thomas Sweets

Picture
Kitty Lee Thomas Sweets is about a girl who dreams big, her love for all things sweet, and a whole lot of heart and soul. As a young girl, Kristin Lee Godburn was inspired by the "working woman" and had visions of one day living in New York City and working on Wall Street. As she became older, her love for food and travel evolved into new dreams of wanting to live abroad and to ultimately own her own restaurant. These dreams did become a reality for her (minus the restaurant), but she later found herself unfulfilled with her Corporate America job and was left wanting more. She decided to follow her heart and love of food and enrolled in culinary school, eventually leaving her investment banking job and beginning a path to a new and rewarding career. Kitty Lee Thomas Sweets is also homage to Kristin's mother and father, Kitty and Tom. They taught her that anything is possible with hard work and commitment, allowing her to believe that dreams can come true.

Kitty Lee Thomas Sweets offers a wide variety of unique and inventive sweets including handmade chocolate dipped and coated marshmallows, cookies, chocolate candies and barks, hot chocolates, and Crisp Bars (their version of rice krispie treats). Their product line is also inclusive of vegan and gluten free sweets and they are committed to using high quality, natural ingredients without any preservatives or additives. They take pride in that all of their chocolate is sourced through a local New Jersey chocolatier and is Rainforest Alliance Certified. Since their launch in 2011, Kristin and Kitty Lee Thomas Sweets have been successful in making a name for themselves in NYC and they continue to make things a little sweeter all across the country.

Backyard Patch Herbal Creations

Picture
Since the first time my family members asked me to make herb blends for them to the over 250 different herb combinations I make now, the process has been the same. I grow and harvest the herbs in my gardens and blend them into cooking blends, herbal teas and bath and personal care items using my own recipes. The herbs are organically raised and harvested and dried using Mother Nature’s assistance rather than mechanical driers. I blend most items just after you order them rather than mass producing the mixes and blends. As a result of this individual treatment customized orders are always possible. At the Backyard Patch we cater to those with allergies and food sensitivities.

I began growing herbs in 1992 after taking a winter class at an herb shop in Geneva, Illinois and started the Backyard Patch to market my herbs in 1995. What began as a hobby and a way to grow herbs for use in programs at the museums I worked at soon became a personal passion which I turned into a full-time endeavor. My college background is a B.A. in Anthropology with a focus on Native Cultures of the United States. I worked for 20 years as a museum curator and director. I have been listed as a "Best of the Best" in the Northern Illinois Library Association publication. I am also a published author on subjects relating to herbs, both growing and using, and maintain an herb-themed blog where I share my 20 years of herb gardening experience. The Backyard Patch is now the main focus of my time.

My Momma's Kitchen

Picture
My Momma's Kitchen was created in September 2011 but officially opened shop in February 2012. We've come a long way since then. I, Naimah, was in my Senior year of college and prepping myself for a fancy job - when it occurred to me that deep inside, I wanted nothing more than to work alongside my loving mother, Momma. Momma has such a great talent for creating great food and bringing smiles to people's faces and I wanted to share that with the world. It all came to reality when Momma baked the very FIRST Dark Chocolate Cake with Sweet Cream Cheese Icing and Chocolate Fudge Frosting. It was delicious! The cake was extremely decadent and rich, restaurant quality. Not only did Momma bake such a classy cake, but it was made with love, honesty, and the richness and sweetness of life. It truly was my "Momma's Favorite Chocolate Cake" - the initial name I gave the cake.

The shop name "My Momma's Kitchen" was literally born within my Momma's kitchen. Today we operate within this same kitchen, only now, it is certified and licensed by the Ohio Department of Agriculture and we have a variety of flavors that we are still expanding. Each cake is tested to perfection so that they retain the same qualities regardless of flavor - moistness, a rich bite, and tons of love. We have made over 1000 jar cakes and cannot wait to bake more. If you haven't tried Momma's cakes, you're missing out!

Born an artist, in Wayne Michigan in 1979, I started drawing while watching after school cartoons. I found photography during my first year in college and used my dad’s Pentax K1000 (still my favorite camera) to explore. I was a film photographer for the first eight years of my career and switched to digital in 2005. That same year I moved to Portland, Oregon with my husband and our two cats. I started showing my work at galleries and art shows of all kinds. In 2009, I was accepted into the Rental Sales Gallery at the Portland Art Museum as a gallery member and have been participating in several of their juried shows. I also sell my work on Etsy and Society6. I enjoy taking photographs of many different subjects – still life, architecture, nature, and cityscapes to name a few. Beach Dawn Creations

I have lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia for over forty years, and when not working, and for fun, I enjoy sewing and crocheting various items for friends and family.  This love for creating led me to open an Etsy store site in 2010.  I take great pleasure in using the best materials available and striving for high quality workmanship.  It is so rewarding to create something useful and to have others appreciate the workmanship and quality of the materials and thus the final product.  It is particularly satisfying to create different types of Eye Pillows and Eye Pillow Covers for every day use and for massage therapists to use for their clients.  I take great pleasure in looking for new materials, fabrics, and patterns to work with to inspire my next creation.  Please continue to check the store frequently, as I am always creating, designing, sewing, or finding something interesting to produce to add to the store.

Chocolove

Picture
Tucked away in Boulder, Colorado sits an unassuming building where a little magic takes place... Every day, decadent chocolate bars are carefully crafted using the timeless combination of chocolate and love.

Timothy Moley is the founder, owner and chocolatier at Chocolove. A tall and slightly eccentric man, he reminds you a little of Willy Wonka. His laid-back attitude, wry grin, and lanky physique would never lead you to believe he is a man who lives and breathes chocolate, and has been consuming two chocolate bars, every day, for the past ten years. Seriously.

It all began in a cocoa field in Indonesia… Timothy was chewing on some cocoa beans doing volunteer work for USAID, a government program that promotes agricultural and technical education in developing countries. He had been living abroad on and off for two years, visiting over 28 countries, developing his palate with spices, teas and wines. And, like most of us, he had always dreamed of being his own boss, dedicated to something he loved. The idea of a career in chocolate inspired him and an idea began to form -  to create a premium chocolate bar, paired with the romance of love.

Chocolove was born. The idea was simple - a selection of distinctly flavored chocolate bars made with all-natural ingredients and the classic techniques of Europe's finest chocolatiers. The package design would resemble a love letter sent from a distant land, and inside each wrapper - a classic romantic poem.

Magee's Nuts

Picture
From our Midwest beginning to our present-day Los Angeles Farmers Market location, Magee's House of Nuts has sold quality nuts and butters for almost a century.

Our best selling butters have been made fresh daily since 1917.  Magee's searches far and wide for the world's best sources of nuts, and samples each individual shipment to ensure exceptional flavor and texture.  The nuts are dry-roasted and fed into a large, cast-iron grinder, an original piece built in 1920 by Blanche's brother using miscellaneous parts of farm machinery.  We add no salt, sugar or stabilizers to our butters.  The 100% nut pureness of our butters accounts for their unique taste and fame.

Passed down through the generations, Magee's rich heritage continues as we maintain an old-world tradition of product quality and friendly customer service.  We look forward to providing you with the finest nuts and butters for any occasion and hope that you will visit us at the Los Angeles Farmers Market.

La Spice - The Walnut Company

A simple nut turned into an extraordinary snack is what La Spice - The Walnut Company is!

After four generations of preparing walnuts for friends and family, I brought our family’s tradition of making our extraoridinary snacks by hand and in small batches to the public. I work hard to incorporate every traditional element; the freshest nuts available covered in pristine ingredients, and the hand made packaging to the avid dedication to our customer’s satisfaction. I want people to be thrilled with every item they purchase from me.

I am in the nut business, have heard every joke about nuts and yet am so excited to be selling one of nature's super foods in terms of nutrition and health benefits you can derive by eating a handful of them every day. My hope is that La Spice - The Walnut Company will become a treasured indulgence for you too.

Honey Tea Thyme

Picture
I'm a stay at home mom with five boys still at home. I am passionate about honey and its healing force. I've used it on burns to help them heal better and quicker. Whenever my children are under the weather, they get honey in one form or another. I have been enjoying the benefits of honey for over 25 years. Honey's natural ability to heal amazes me. I love what Raw Honey can do for the overall health of the body. For many years I have made this Honey Tea as a way of helping my family stay healthy.

We created this product as an instant tea. We are careful to preserve the natural enzymes that the bees put in the honey in the first place. We infuse Organic Herbs or natural essential oils into our 100% Pure Raw Colorado Honey. I believe that when you taste something that is pure and natural with no added chemicals or preservatives that you body goes, Wow! I need some more of that!

We sell 100% Pure Raw Honey, organic and several different conventional flavors. Our current flavors include: Organic Cinnamon, Organic Chamomile, Organic, Lavender, Organic Rose Petal, Organic Ginger, Apple, Autumn Spice, Clove, Fruit & Nut, Lemon Thyme, Licorice Mint, Mint Medley, Orange Spice & Vanilla Spice. All you need is a teaspoon of honey in a cup of hot water and you have a wonderful cup of tea really fast (and also delightful on toast & hot cereal)!

I have to tell you, it has been a long time coming - this dream of mine. After many starts and stops, I've finally learned that each of us must listen to that little voice that God has put inside us. For me, that meant setting up this shop and designing and creating to my heart's content. The best part is that I get to share my creations, my treasures, with you.

One of those treasures is our caramels.  My family did not love caramels until we tried this rich, sweet, and buttery vanilla caramel recipe. Now we can't get enough, and neither can our friends and family.  These caramels are the soft, buttery kind that don't want to stick to your teeth.  As my family says, they're "melty in your mouthy!"  I am just thrilled to share them here now with you. Thank you for the opportunity. I just know you’re going to love them!

Oh Honey BBQ Sauce

Picture
Chef and Owner Aaron Link has been grilling and creating barbeque sauces for more than 15 years.  Born and raised in Texas by his grandparents, Aaron has always had a love for the backyard grill.  The inspiration for the ingredients used in his OH Honey! BBQ sauce comes from the stories and legend of his grandfather’s sauces that he made more than 40 years ago.

Aaron draws from artisanal traditions all over the U.S. while still creating a product with direct ties to local Colorado resources. All of his honey comes from bees pollinating Colorado flowers high in the Rocky Mountains.  Using Breckenridge Colorado Bourbon in his “Buzzed Reserve” line of sauce gives a uniqueness that is unmatched by any commercial sauces.  All of Aaron’s sauces are all natural ingredients with no corn syrup or preservatives, and the Sweet Bee and Killer Bee are Gluten Free as well.

BBQ sauce is culinary tradition that spans the entire country, but with very particular regional styles. Aaron manages to honor these traditions while incorporating the resources that Colorado has to offer, and showcasing his own skill and style as a chef.

Bonnie

Picture
In February of 2010, fine artist Sarah deHebreard turned her focus from painting pictures to making lip balm. Her naturally nourishing products harness the goodness that nature provides in new and creative ways. The newest products - including Body Milk, Oil-Free Facial Moisturizer, and Intense Foot Cream - make use of natural compounds in complex and luxurious formulations. Sarah is constantly developing new formulas and searching for new and interesting ways to combine nature and science. As a self-described micro-manager with an eye for detail, Sarah handles every aspect of Bonnie on her own; including graphic and web design, product development, marketing, production, and packaging.

So who is Bonnie? Bonnie was the cat that Sarah grew up with. She passed away at the age of 19 in the summer of 1999, when Sarah was only 17. When searching for a name for the business, Sarah wanted something simple which evoked the feel of the brand, but that had a story behind it. Bonnie came to mind, and it was clear that it was the perfect choice.

Hi, my name is Tracy and I have been doing arts and crafts since I was a little kid, but as I grew older I still loved it! I have tried so many crafts from scrap booking, cross stitching, candy making, land yard making, origami and more, but so far I love making clay miniatures and jewelry. At first I was just selling to friends and family, but recently I decided to make an account on etsy to make a little money since I am a stay at home mom to 2 boys ages 9 and 2.

New to my shop are flexible food safe molds, all handmade by me. Alternatively I take custom orders, like if you want a brownie without the ice cream or a ring instead of a necklace or earrings instead of a ring - feel free to message me. I also do custom molds. Just send me a piece you would like to mold and I can mold it for you and send the piece back with your mold. If you have an idea for a mold let me know and I will try and find it for you and make it :)

Kishr

Picture
Kishr has been in my family for generations. I have fond memories of visiting my grandmother in a small village in Yemen and bonding over an afternoon cup of her delicious Kishr. This healthy brew has a rich history and is said to predate coffee as we know it today. However, Kishr is very little-known outside of its country of origin, Yemen.

I knew that Kishr was a drink that needed to be shared. It’s been an exciting journey bringing Kishr from the East to the West.  As the first to introduce Kishr to the US market, I feel responsible for maintaining the integrity and authenticity of this ancient beverage.  At the end of the day, it’s rewarding to be part of a product that promotes healthy living.

Candied Flamingo

Picture
Libby and Samantha, aunt and niece, share a love of collecting vintage and antique items. The duo opened their first Etsy shop of vintage and handmade items while Samantha was living with Libby and her husband in Washington. While Samantha was taking photos of vintage tea cups for that shop, Libby suggested adding some sugar cubes and a few other items to the frame for a “tea party” look. After some brainstorming and trial runs, they found making sugar cubes was fun and added something special to their Etsy collection. With a sufficient supply of vintage items to pull it off, and the ability to make sugar cubes to order, they decided to launch a separate shop with a tea party theme and opened Candied Flamingo in February 2011.

Now that Samantha is back in her home state of Virginia and Libby remains in Washington, Candied Flamingo has become a bi-coastal, albeit small, operation. Though they currently reside on opposite ends of the continent, running Candied Flamingo is just one of the many ways they stay close. And, they have such a wonderful time doing it!

Chickbands

Picture
Kara, the owner and creator of Chickbands, has been an avid runner for the past 15 years.  She was looking for a way to keep her crazy curls out of her face during long runs, and look cute while doing it!She had tried other headbands, bobby pins, barrettes, and even bandanas to control her hair, but nothing worked. Then, her daughter, Victoria was growing out her bangs—she would go to school with barrettes and bobby pins, but by the end of the day, she looked like a mess. A determined Kara pulled out her sewing machine, and Chickbands was born in August 2011! A solution for Kara’s runs and Victoria’s in between bangs! Victoria and her younger sister, Sara, began wearing them around town and Kara started getting requests to make them for their friends and their moms too. She opened up her ETSY shop and soon her Chickbands were featured on various running and healthy living blogs. Since then, Kara has been busy sewing Chickbands for kids, adults, sports teams, and high school spirit wear. When she is not sewing her Chickbands, Kara works part time as a pediatric speech-language pathologist and is a stay at home mom. She resides in Howard County, Maryland, with her husband, Chuck, and two headband-wearing daughters!

Art By Anne Elizabeth

Picture
Anne has had a passion for photography for as long as she can remember.  Her favorite thing about creating Art By Anne Elizabeth letter art is that it allows her to use her creative side which she doesn't always get to do as a market researcher in Chicago.

The products Art By Anne Elizabeth sells started when she began to make customized wedding gifts for her friends. Anne loved the idea of creating wall art of the new last name the couple would be taking on as gifts. She had seen some forms of letter art before but wanted Art By Anne Elizabeth products to be slightly different thus offering the "floating" frames design. Anne has taken all the photos used in her products and says it started by simply walking around her neighborhood taking pictures of things she saw that resembled a letter.  A few years later, a few photos turned into a few thousand!

Anne is always looking for ideas to keep Art By Anne Elizabeth products new and exciting. Customers buy customized products for various reasons; gifts to themselves, for their business, and even their pets.  They are extremely popular to give as gifts whether that be a wedding, graduation, birthday, father's day gift, you name it!

Katherine Anne Confections

Picture
Katherine's upbringing on a sustainable Wisconsin farm allowed for unique exposure to the world of real food that was hormone and pesticide-free. Katherine’s mother taught her that using fresh cream from the family's pasture-grazed Jersey cows was the secret ingredient to creating batches of soft, old-fashioned caramels.

At 10 years old, Katherine began her confectionary career selling her very own honey vanilla caramels. Cleverly named  “Katherine’s Karamels”, business was tough as her hometown of Wilson, WI (population 300) didn't have much of a market for artisan confections. Her father aided in her business by selling caramels at his office for a mere 25 cents each.  The sweets were a hit and Katherine’s entrepreneurial drive took off.

Fast forward to 2006, where Katherine is living in Chicago with her husband, Frank. For years they'd made truffles and caramels as gifts, and had numerous requests for more. Katherine noticed there was a void in the eco-friendly field of for confections, and decided that was the time to re-ignite the idea of running her own business.

In the fall of 2006, Katherine launched Katherine Anne Confections with a specialized focus on classic truffles and caramels using local and organic ingredients. Working out of several rental kitchens over the next few years, Katherine grew her business from 3 small coffee shops and bicycling her deliveries all over town, to her first employees, a full line-up of farmers markets, selling in Whole Foods, and an online store.

In the fall of 2010, Katherine acquired her own production studio in Logan Square, opening it to the public for truffle-making parties, and truffle & caramel pop-up events. She keeps a full docket with wedding favors, sweets tables, corporate gifts, and retail orders. Creating the confections is no small feat: Katherine and her team roll and dip her truffles by hand, thus creating an elegant and unique treat every single time.

Francis Ellis Candles

Picture
When Erin started Francis Ellis Candles, she had one goal; to create natural, healthy and eco-friendly candles. She realized that this approach could be a lot like it used to be when her grandparents were growing up; pure. It is fitting then, that the company is named after her Grandma Francis and her Grandpa Ellis.

As a Licensed Esthetician, Erin uses organic essential oils because of their healing properties. Each candle is individually hand crafted in Erin's very own kitchen and made up of 100% biodegradable soy wax, eco-friendly wicks, recycled packaging and offers Certified Organic/Fair for Life essential oil options.

She has developed a line of candles that smell wonderful and are also therapeutic.  Many people are highly sensitive to synthetic fragrances, where as essential oils are unlikely to irritate even the most sensitive people.  Her candles are made with organic essential oils because she believes in limiting the amount of pesticides, herbicides and other toxic chemicals in our lives as much as possible. Francis Ellis’ Organic Essential Oil line of candles contains absolutely NO toxic chemicals at all.

Lucila's Homemade

Picture
I was born and raised in a small town in Argentina, about 350 miles north of Buenos Aires.  My sisters and I grew up devouring pastries my mom, grandma, and aunts made with “dulce de leche” in it, especially the ”alfajores”. After moving to the United States when I was 24 and meeting my husband Joe, my passion for cooking and entertaining started.  We loved (and still do) having friends over to our house and treating them to good company, and of course, great home-cooked meals.

After I had children, I used my newly found cooking skills and started baking the traditional Argentinian “alfajores”.  I wanted my kids to grow up with the same wonderful memories that I had as a child, with sweet aromas swirling through the house.

Making traditional Argentinian food and sharing it with my family and friends is what I love to do.  I feel fortunate to have the best of both worlds; I have been able to translate my passion into a business, and get a 'taste of the American dream' while America gets 'a taste of Argentina'."

Salted Caramel

Picture
Ginna & Bridget, co-owners of Salted Caramel, think of Salted Caramel as a three ring circus, when in fact they are a two woman show creating “Sweet Meets Savory” treats. Each is a twist on a classic and presented with a vintage circus feel, honoring the fun that they as friends are having with their young company.

They met when fate brought Bridget (a public accountant with an entrepreneur’s heart) to Ginna (a very talented chef with a darn great idea). Salted Caramel was created in the Fall of 2009 with determination and one product...Bacon Bourbon Caramel Corn.

With two anniversaries under their belt, they are proud of their commitment to natural ingredients and supporting other small businesses. They have come a long way from an hourly rental kitchen offering one product in one size and a 'do it yourself' website. They have worked hard to gain presence in local and national shops, and are flattered by the attention they've received from the Press.

The Cookie Pup

Picture
Laura, the creator of The Cookie Pup, has a love for dogs and a love for baking!

The Cookie Pup began when Max, Laura's Spaniel puppy, had a hard time digesting store-bought dog treats.  She did some research and developed a few homemade dog cookie recipes to bake for him that would be healthy and easy for his stomach to handle.  After a few tries to perfect the flavors, Max LOVED the cookies and his stomach problems went away.  Laura started baking the cookies for his doggie friends to enjoy as well and the rest is history.

The Cookie Pup developed into a small business selling homemade natural dog treats to dogs of all ages and sizes.  She is always coming up with new recipes that Max and his friends will enjoy.  Each cookie is hand-made from scratch with natural ingredients – home baked for a fresh and tasty cookie that even the pickiest pup will love! Laura use's healthy and natural ingredients (no additives or preservatives), and cut each cookie by hand, with care.  Max, like all dogs, is truly a family member - so Laura wants to give them the very best.
